Romano Cheese Crusted Skirt Steak

There are few steaks as filled with flavor as skirt steak, especially one with a delicious cheese crust. This Romano Cheese and Italian breadcrumb mixture features a perfect blend of tasty ingredients bursting with flavor, perfectly complementing the steak it’s on.

Ingredients

8 ounce Prime Skirt Steak, 1 each Romano Cheese-Italian Bread Crumb Mixture
  • Panko Bread Crumbs, 1 cup
  • Romano Cheese, ½ cup
  • Fresh Rosemary, minced, 1 tablespoon
  • Fresh Thyme, minced, 1 ½ tablespoons
  • Fresh Parsley, minced, 1 tablespoon
Compound Butter
  • Unsalted Butter, softened , 2 tablespoons
  • Fresh Rosemary, minced, 1 tablespoon
  • Fresh Thyme, minced, 1 tablespoon
  • Fresh Garlic, minced, 1 clove
  • Extra Virgin Olive Oil, 3 tablespoons

Directions


Romano Cheese-Italian Bread Crumb Mixture
  1. Place all ingredients in a food processor and mix until incorporated well and bread crumbs are very fine. Place bread crumb mixture in a large pan and coat steak with mixture.
Compound Butter
  1. Place in a large mixing bowl and mix until incorporated well.
  2. In a large sauté pan, over medium high heat, brown steak on each side until browned and crisp.
  3. Once steak is cooked to your desired doneness, remove from pan and let rest for a few minutes. Top with compound butter and a generous sprinkling of the romano-italian bread crumb mixture.
  4. Slice and serve immediately.
